Won't be radar watching tonight, not forecast anything so find it pointless. I'll do what I did that night in 2010 sleep expecting nothing and awake to a covering of snow haha.

Probably wont work tonight.

Shows up quite well on the Fax chart Marcus PPVL89.png

Still a way off could be totally different at 4 days away.

Temp dropping off further here now down to 1.2 (colder than progged by the Metoffice already so should bode well if we have any precipitation that is, not much in the way of showers about hey.

EURO 4 12z doesn't show much in the way of precipitation across Wales for tonight and early hours of the morning. NMM 3km gives more in the way of showers to much of Wales with snow generally falling away from the south west of the region.

It will be interesting to see which one is correct.

seems like a few showers appearing off Pembrokeshire/Carmarthen bay area  clipping the Gower area as they pass, nothing of note but shows they could pop up at short notice.

Judging from the radar, looks like quite a bit more shower activity developing right across Wales, away from the SE corner.

Could be some pleasant surprises for a few.

Just had a light sleet shower the odd flake thrown in but definetly sleet temp dropped to 1*c then risen to 2.3*c when the shower passed over and now it's dropping again.

Don't expect much tonight.

Perhaps the shorter sea track is playing a factor in less shower activity. Just had a light rain shower here

That should improve as the wind shifts more NNW later tonight and tomorrow am?

Most likely time for snow in the SW has always been progged for 6-12 Thursday morning...

The westerly wind isn't helping , if the wind was northwesterley wales would be seeing much heavier, frequent showers.

This westerly wind is holding temperatures steady at 2-5C across much of western wales. Mid and east slightly colder but fewer showers here

Looks set to stay westerly tonight, then veers northwesterly by tomorrow night

It's very frustrating - temp drops, showers move in and temp increases. Don't think anywhere below 300m or south of Builth Wells will see much in the way of snow overnight. Where there is precipitation its not heavy enough to lower temp and increases temp due to westerly wind. Nos da bois.

Looks like they veer more NW in the morning, still sub -5c uppers and sub 0c DP at that stage but milder uppers/ DPs arrive by evening. Seems not cold enough for snow all Friday then conditions set to turn more favourable and northerly during Saturday according to GFS.

Between 9 and 12, tomorrow morning across the SW, according to XC-Weather (not sure what model they base that on though).

MetOffice weather maps have a fairly straight westerly overnight, also moving to more WNW by tomorrow lunchtime.  Still more of a westerly than northerly component up until Friday morning though if these are to be believed.  NW / Northerly then lasts Friday through until at least Monday.

Trouble is that up to later Saturday there are 'warm' sectors coming down from the NW, doubt we will get much in the way of snow (below 200m) until Saturday night and then dependent on how showers align.
