True thats all it may take, even Aber itself can get a surprise snowfall very occasionally!

I witnessed a huge snowstorm in Aberystwyth back in my uni days with around a foot and even a white beach and that was before the good winters we had. one left close to a foot of snow right into the town itself although often you had to just climb out of the main town itself in other events to see settling snow. If I got the chance to move back I would, stunning place.

Tomorrow night certainly looking wintry for much of wales with tricky driving conditions will come to a shock to some places. Hopefully see some thunder and hail.

Yep looking good, just read this on Ian Ferguson's twitter - not sure if this may apply to us too?

W COUNTRY Tues PM/Night may yield 'thundersnow' in some western fringes, as cumulonimbus clouds bring combination of lightning, hail & snow

Looks like the heavier sleet snow showers with possible thunder thrown in crosses Wales around midnight.looks like a covering with a slush fest at sea levels due to the warm ground temperatures, all the best with the lamp post watch Whiskers.

I swear every bbc Wales weather presenter plays down the risk of snow. Derek's going for rain or sleet at lower levels yet everything looks perfect for at least falling snow and sue Charles said "a few wintry showers" haha.

Temps have fallen 6c compared to yesterday. Hoping they continue to drop like a stone and even if it's a slushy mess, that Cardiff gets a covering of the white stuff. We have been snow starved for so long, I will be jumping for joy IF I see some flakes falling. Lamp posts at the ready, Wales! :)

hey everyone had issues with login. back now. andy music/jay hi to you both. well unfortunately RCT council decided to remove the lampost right opposite my window so I cannot lampost watch anymore. they preferred the high power LED/solar powered ones, which I must say my neighbours are absolutely sick of right now having had a pop concert effect in their bedroom window for the past three months. so im going to have to go to basics and simply open the door. heres hoping guys for some snow. good luck.

Any reports of snow yet. Rain here in Merthyr town centre. Netweather radar showing snow mid/North Wales.

I think the Dowlais traffic cam is starting to show snow.
