No snow, can't wait for summer now

Frosty cold morning and prospect of snow or wintry showers tonight/tomorrow morning imby. Beeb forecast last night seemed to imply snow to lower levels for a time. Would have thought mod thread would be jumping, but not even a mouse is astir there, probs defeated by sight of wall to wall snow in North East America.

Rough over the next few days windy cold hail thunder sleet snow in the heavier downpours ,typical Feb /March weather.

Properly grim out there today ladies and gents. Persistent cold rain for 8 hours and 4/5 C. I know that we don't think of this as extreme weather, but this is more dangerous if not disruptive for people venturing outside. Hope our mountain rescue teams aren't too busy up there.

Interesting that it was mention a period of wet snow moving across the English channel west to east in the early hrs giving a covering in places as temperatures drops.

Had snow all morning here a very cold raw feeling day morning temps 1.5c afternoon max 4.7c now feeling balmy at 8c
