PPN has finally arrived. I hear rain. Don't have the heart to look out of the window, but it's definitely the pattering of rain.

Rain here no surprise.

Whereabouts are you in Cardiff Jay? Thought you would be getting at least sleet? Newport and Cardiff are the worst for these marginal showers. We're in need of a bit of frontal snow!

I know yeah- only five minutes from me in Bassaleg. Would have thought you'd get something at least, if Heath is getting snow!

I was holding out for the midnight to 5am forecast and it's looking really good out there right now. Very heavy so I hope the temp drops and it sticks

Back to a clear starry sky now. Hopefully the temp will drop a little more before the next blob arrives.

Tonight has been underwhelming with a slushy covering of snow which is now steadily melting. The Beacons are causing the showers to fragment. I'll pin my hopes on this instead:

Woke up to a light covering of snow which has now frozen! Is there anymore for us today?

potentially yes - radar still has a fair bit coming down - but beacons are destroying alot of it - bet there's loads up there though

Snow has been very sleety so have a wet covering on most surfaces but showers incoming more of sleet than rain. Did this really warrant a weather warning?

Just rained here and still 3c, the temp doesn't seem to want to drop here! I think im too low down, are there any chances for us on lower ground or will it not be cold enough?
