Not quite as cold as yesterday morning here, but it feels colder in my old bones. Bitter out there. No sign of snow, sleet or any other flaky stuff.

Brrrrr. :cold:

Nice to see the heads up and that Blaenau Ffestiniog is mentioned, was fun seeing ourselves on the BBC Wales Today programme last night. Quite a bit of thawing overnight as the snow was very wet. Sunny at present been a few flurries but nothing of note, fingers crossed for later this afternoon and tonight.

Forecast to fall as rain here in Cardiff, but hey, the best snow is always unexpected. :D

Weather warning says 1-4cm at lower levels so I'd say we'll see some hopefully. Nice birthday present waking up to a snow warning this morning lol. I think I'm just under 100m absl.

Although not forecast it's got to be our best chance this winter.

Happy Birthday btw.

I hadn't seen the MO warning for Cardiff. I read the story on Wales Online and thought it was just missing us. That's cheered me up. :)

I have faith tonight, I think we'll all get more than forecast! Hopefully enough for sledging.

LOL! Snow for Barry but not for Cardiff, somehow I don't see how that's possible unless the snow diverts around Cardiff!

Monday's battleground looks knife edge according to GFS at +96hrs.

The front sneaks under the HP and pushes into the cold air and currently brings cold rain to most of Wales but then starts to stall and turn to snow as it moves East. Dew points and upper air temps are really marginal for most of Wales here and slight adjustments could make all the difference. We would need the advance of the front to be a little slower here.

Here's hoping the GFS has overplayed this one a little (as is often the case with Eastbound PPN) and we get the stall right on top of us. Plenty of time for this to go in the right or wrong direction yet. Will be interesting what Euro4 tells us when it gets into range on Saturday.
