snowing - whiteout blizzard like conditions for a while but snowing for the past hour or two - thought it would be only showers - seemed to go on forever lol

yes they are having a likle moan in Ireland that it's more sleet/rain now - maybe conditions are less favourable - we shall see - as I type another nice wintry shower is passing through

 

BBC were encouraging earlier though - still showing some wintriness around for tonight

Had a dusting of snow overnight.some potent wintry showers on the way today ,interesting weather watching day today.

 

Dusting here too, but I think it was hail here.

nasty winds with this front - heavy rain and some sleet/snow in there too plus the odd flash of lightning

Looks good for ST Davids day a northerly blast looks like giving us another white ST Davids day.

Today has been a decent day if you like all four seasons thrown in lol! started off with a hailstorm before work followed by sunshine, a whiteout then back to hail followed by rain. Currently having a hailstorm again, would take this any day over a boring cloudy day.

On and off hail showers all day and now it is trying very hard to snow, but more sleety and unlikely to settle.

proper winter could well start in March 2015 - with a nice easterly followed by some lovely atlantic snowmageddon madness into our part of the world - don't put away those snow shoes just yet
