Wishbone effect is going to leave me with nowt. I'd be happy to be surprised though.

NWly just isn't a payout for South East Wales

Lot of inland showers developing over Wales, won't be safe on the A470 through Powys!

Where are we on that map? I can't make it out.

I thought the same thing, we are on the top left quarter of that map and part of Wales hits the left border of the picture.

I'd be disappointed if it didn't snow here overnight! Even at 9 am tomorrow morning conditions look favourable, before it will probably turn to sleet or rain in the afternoon as dew points and uppers rise slightly.

Dew points...

I'm in Bangor in the day, but saw that cloud to the south.

You know your luck's down when SW Wales is looking likely for a bit of snow, and being in low lying SE Wales, you haven't seen a flake for over two years. Best of luck to everyone Swansea/ Bangor westwards. All of us in Wales have been snow starved for too long. I may check back in closer to the weekend to look at prospects for early next week, but I'm getting the feeling this cold spell may be a little like the last one- with only bits and pieces to cling on to. Hope I'm wrong!

that's just Newport haha.

Infact, there's a lot of showers forming over Wales, really heavy thick snow stuff!! Unfortunately they seem to be mainly North of the Beacons!

I have hope !

If it's happening already, I don't see why those showers shouldn't continue to be wintry tonight.

I think we could and the temp is dropping now and I can see big black clouds forming in the distance and unlike this afternoon there not getting pushed away with the wind .

Currently 1.7 *c here had a sleety shower earlier but nothing substantial. Don't think we will see much tonight but we should at least see something.

Little snow shower just as I got in, temps now down to 2c. So it's begun.not expecting snowmageddon anytime soon but at least we've started the journey.

At around 9.30am this morning, one massive shower while at work, heavy hail, and massive gusts of winds, Probably a squall passing through.

Already reports up here of rain, hail, sleet and some snow. In many ways not bring in a "alert area" makes everything a bonus.

I said last night, wintry/snow showers seems likely for many, and I still think that the early morning tomorrow looks more conducive to any wintriness compared to tonight.

Next weekend though does look more interesting than tonight, especially with such an early warning out.
