Just rain in Kilgetty, was really hoping we would have snow this morning to wake up to. If there was any thunder I slept through it!

Around an Inch on the car this morning and the roads were slushy and still loading from falling snow where the temperature was still sub zero at 6am - although down here in Newport now seems like drizzle outside though its still dark. Temperature -0.2C back home before the storm arrives later today.

 

The guys in the model forums are getting pretty excited about next weeks prospects aswel, although we've been there before  for sure but looks full of potential for arctic blasts so far - fingers crossed.

A good 3 - 4 inches here in Blaenavon, cold start to the day. It seems most roads are clear and passable with care. What's this about next week's potential weather?

Heavy hail and snow overnight.

 

That gave a covering of about 2cm on pavements and about 4cm on grass. slowly thawing away from the house on grass (which was soaking wet last night

 

But very icy on roads and pavements with compacted ice. [ok to get to work though]

Light snow again now.

Patchy ice pellets on the grass down here. Was great to see the thunder, sleet and hail last night. Here's hoping this was just the appetiser and next week we get a proper pelting.

Any one know what wind speeds we can expect later today and what time? I hate the wind my mam and dad had lots of damage caused to roof last weekend and only had temp repairs just hope they good enough for the gales we supposed to be having later, on ipad showing 26mph but been told 80mph is that correct?
