I swear its wet snow here, winds picked up.

Thunder sleet Cardiff West, lots of flakes in the heavier stuff

Gusty winds too

Very unstable atmosphere

Raining heavily with occasional hail, gusty winds and no lightning.

 

I'm growing antsy and exasperated.

Temperature 3.5c here now. Just need more of a drop. Rain has turned more sleety but probably going to have to wait for the temperatures to drop further  (expected) before falling snow here.

Gradual thaw of earlier lying snow seems to have halted and far less drips (i.e temperature is dropping) and an intense shower incoming, hope this will be a good, may be my first ever thunder snow? wahoo!

Very srange as here it's calm, no precipitation and definitely no 'Snow Fest'. Coincidently I also live in Pontypridd.

Had heavy graupel here too which turned to snow for about 5 minutes before clearing very slippery out there now.

small amount of wet snow here about 6pm but nothing since......fingers crossed I wake up to something wintery in the morning

A pretty impressive evening of thunder, lightning, hail and then snow here.

Lightning so wild it kept knocking out the power. Hope for more snow showers overnight.

Hail stones quite big just now with thunder and lightning thrown in, really heavy, now just calm, road and pavement white

Shower after shower is falling as rain and/or hail.

 

I apologise for being negative but this is a little pathetic when areas at lower elevation and towards the coast have seen some snow.

After a couple of hours of being fairly static at 3 degrees, the temp is finally going in the right direction again. 1.7c now.

Hail and snow here now,covering the cars and floors, fingers crossed it continues,currently1.3

temps starting to fall more quickly, down to 2.4c here in centre of Cardiff now, keep going, next heavy shower hopefully more wintry than the last!
