A very foggy start to the day. Was down on the south coast for Sunday lunch which was totally shrouded in cloud until we left about 2:30/3pm. Shame as where we went is in a secluded bay with amazing views normally.

It had cleared by home by 11/12 apparently and was completely sunny upon my return. Warmer too.

Temp has been climbing all the time, currently at 15.4c... If we get a warmer start then I reckon the temperatures noted by other members may be in reach, anyway, it's a glorious day.

Tomorrow looks good too :)

Fabulous day here too up to 18 c at one time with cloudless skies after 2c at 6.00am. Rolling two fields we got sown last Monday before the snow.

Also fitted in a walk up our nearest trig point where the views are great on a a day like today   Can see seven counties from up there.

Met some of our neighbours who had walked up from the other side.  I was in shirt sleeves, first time outside without a jersey this spring. A couple of photos one showing Ben Wyvispost-2744-0-35416300-1428252542_thumb.jp  and the other the hills to the west of Inverness post-2744-0-97356400-1428252533_thumb.jp

Reached 16C today, a whole 4C more than the met forecast. Felt really nice in the Sun. The best Easter weatherwise for a while. :)

Went out in the afternoon with the wife and youngest for a cycle along the old Deeside railway into Aberdeen. Jumped in the car to drive to where we were going to cycle from and the car thermometer was saying 19C. I thought it'd drop once we got going, did it hell. It was still showing 17C on the way back at 5pm. Ice creams in Duthie Park on April 5th,unheard of!

Night before last went as low as -0.3c and last night was 0.2c so both nights had ground frosts.

Very very foggy this morning, replica of yesterday. Neighbours said It burnt off about 11/12 and I think that's a fair bet today. Playing the waiting game...

Currently a chilly 6.5c

Edit: 11:30 - 10.8c so feels ok but still a bit foggy and totally cloudy.

Never mind 'wake me up when September ends'... Wake me up when May starts, yawn

Short-lived touch of ground frost here too this morning (1.0C on my weather station at around 8am). Unlike SW we've got largely blue skies again so far this morning, no fog, so it'll probably warm up fast again. Pity I'm stuck in work looking out at it though.

That is a shame :(

Aboyne (and the NE in general) were predicted to get to 20c again today by the met - who usually are conservative with their predictions.

Quite rare for me to get fog and so much cloud but I suppose a lot of highs give easterly or south easterly winds whereas, it's a SWly mainly pushing in cloud.

If it was May it would have burnt off far quicker but alas we sit and wait. Still plenty time left :)

What a difference a day makes. This time yesterday we were heading towards 20c with off shore winds. Today it's just 7c in sunny skies with patchy haar and a SEly breeze!

Started to clear about 12:30, been intermittent sunshine ever since. Feeling warmer in the breaks in the cloud.

13.4c... Should see more sunshine soon and perhaps surpass yesterday's temperatures, certainly 16c is achievable by the end of the day :)

It's cloudier here than it was yesterday, that's all relative as it's mostly high cloud. Feeling warm in the sun, no idea what the proper air temp is as the thermometer from my weather station is defo picking up heat from the fence and the shed, it's reporting 24.3ºC. I see Boulmer on the NE England coast is reporting 6ºC...ouch!

I keep getting an "Error500" message when I try to upload pics from my new camera. Any ideas? They work fine uploading to Facebook, just on here that seems to be an issue.

Second day in a row of it pretending to be summer, magic weather.

Serious tidy up of garden done today after it getting abandoned and ignored since September.

Bbq weather at Easter, madness.

I'd have guessed that it's not that uncommon to have weather like this at this time of year, or perhaps I'm being too kind to our weather?

Clear now since about 1:45, almost totally sunny.

I'm reporting only 14.5c, when the car was at 18/19c but oh well.

Feels nice certainly.

I agree, either up North it is genuinely 5/6c degrees warmer and feels like summer or people have got used to 6-8c cloudy, cold with some rain.

March 2012 delivered 23c here, April 2011 28.4c at my house...

14.5c and sunny is perfectly acceptable and I'm very happy with it (long May it continue) but it's hardly startling. Grass still hasn't really grown yet, neither has pollen levels thankfully

MrsCatch cut our back grass yesterday, it's only a small patch and she managed a binbag of cuttings off it. She's a good woman :D

Haha, luckily it's my step-dad's job as I have hayfever but I do cut it a few times in the summer. A very arduous job.

16.1c now, feeling warm in the setting sun. Pretty much a replica of yesterday, shame the fog didn't clear earlier.
