What a waste of good precipitation all this rain tonight is.  I just drove to Sneckie - lots of rain with the odd sleety burst. Nimby, it looks like tomorrow evening before the cold deepens enough for more snow, although inland areas further south may have no such problems.

Not getting much oot this wee SE self generating blob, but a new dusting present in the gairden. Adds to the decent bulk of my previous inch that has largely stayed in place.

Been snowing like sh** for a while now. Stretch of the A9 from Tomatin to Daviot is already struggling to resemble a road so come morning, it should be interesting. Similar story next door in Speyside I'm assuming

Alternating between rain, sleet and wet snow here. Not a chance of it lying as the ground is so wet now. Temp 2.0/0.4C.

Dry here just now and temps risen to 3C from under 2C in the last hour or so.

Our skiff of snow from last night still unmelted in the shade despite a max earlier in the day of 5C?. Dry air and low dewpoint maybe?

Precipitation just now not far offshore but may miss us to the South. Probably just as well unless temp drops again.

Strange old evening here heavy rain/sleet with frozen dusting of snow still in shaded areas but wet and muddy elsewhere. This dusting of frozen snow sparkles in the car head lights as the temperature is 0.5c and the ground temperature must be freezing. Almost freezing rain.

mon the BLOB!!

You're tropical up there, 1.0ºC/-2.6ºC down in the depths of the Borders. I'm glad I was at work for that first blob a few hours ago, kept looking out but saw nothing as there was nothing. Almost a relief as at least what snow we do have is still hanging on rather than getting rained upon.

Chucking it down with snow in Laurencekirk! However Bermuda triangle phantom snow in Edinburgh and the Lothians. Don't you hate it when they tease us with fake snow!

There's been quite a few reports of fake snow recently, I wonder what's up?

No fake precipitation here, shame it's very light rain though :( lol hmmm

It was only a few spots but the temp has bumped up to 2.1ºC now...

Edit: Holy onionse it's snowing!!

2nd Edit: The falling snow is wet so it's melting the snow on the ground :aggressive:
