Quite quiet in here tonight. Have i missed something?

The snow risk/potential hasn't been downgraded has it?

Pre match nerves for everyone, will we get the result we are looking for?

I think it's because we know it's going to happen but need to wait until tomorrow to see how potent the snow showers are. In short, there's nothing to talk about!

Looks like the start of the change (well main heavy rain) is in the north west currently. When that clears that's when the fun begins

Thinks it's just a case of wait and see now. Judging by the weather warnings etc. it looks like this probably won't start cranking up mid-afternoon onwards into evening, and possibly into Thursday morning. Just raining a bit here just now. Felt a wee bit colder in the breeze when I was out earlier on. Not sure if it will be pre-rain, meaning it won't lie so good but och can speculate till the cows come home.

Just wish it was Friday tomorrow not got to sit in damn work and look out at the stuff! Nobody in the work wants snow - where's your inner child I ask - i'm like well what do you want rain? get a grip :)

Step away from the charts!

Very gusty winds just starting here. I like that this cold spell is coming in with a touch of the dramatic about it!

Looks like even Aberdeen will see several inches of snow between Saturday and Wednesday next week as that Northerly sets in.

With all the westerly winds, we've had an incredible sunny winter...or so it seems.

Yes it should snow as I am away for a couple of days! I am cautiously optimistic about Saturday to Tuesday up here but before then I expect it to be largely bright and breezy with maybe some rain on Friday.

Yeah, we might see an isolated snow shower tomorrow forcing its way over the mountains but perhaps more of a chance on Thursday as the wind turns more into the NW. Still, it's Saturday onwards our 'proper' snow arrives

If the next four days (not to mention Sun-Tues) are anything like the latest Met Office forecast for my location then I'll be very content indeed.

Charts all pointing towards more of a spell than a snap.....entering a very interesting period just how snowy it will be who knows bit liking the unstable air mass and lots of the charts showing lots of kinks over the next few days highlighting potential shower activity.....slight fear we miss from West here then miss from north but i just feel so many showers and potentially potent that law of averages means we get involved

That is a question I don't know the answer to edodfc, what is the timescale for a snap and a spell?

Lol cheggers behind couch indeed.... I liken it to xmas....days of expectation you talk and talk about it then the xmas eve lull hits as you wait for the big day itself not knowing exactly what it will deliver....in other words we are all excited big kids who don't know what the telephone box we are getting tomorrow

This is weird. Temperature at Glencoe 1200ft 6c. But it looks like sleet or snow on cams?
