Better than nothing though, Fizz. At least we can say we've seen *some* snow this winter  :good:

A few bits & bobs still incoming from the west.

Snow has started again here however what we had earlier had thawed on the roads. Recovering now. Although the band has fizzled out a bit so won't last. Lovely to see, shame it'll be gone tomorrow.

The snow is far to wet to settle here, probably don't have the elevation here like other parts of the Midlands

Decent covering so far. Hoping for plenty more overnight.

There does look as though there are some good beefy showers lining up in the Irish Sea and SW approaches.

Heavy stuff seems to have gone to the north side of leicester, so only light stuff here. Won't amount to anything. Still nice to see some snow though.

Lots of snow in Dudley (in comparison with recent times).  Snow showers all evening, some heavy, have left a 0.5cms covering.  Now 0.3C and snow lying.  We'll see what overnight brings, the roads are not fun at the moment around Dudley, a few accidents on my drive home just.  Large traffic jam between Cousins and Castlegate Island, I can only assume because of an accident.  The roads don't seem to have been treated at all.

In these scenarios I usually find gritting can do very little. Even if they were out earlier rain at first would of washed any away or the snow is just so heavy it can overcome the grit. Usually I find Dudley Council pretty good. Looks like it will stay mostly dry for the Midlands now I think so a good opportunity for the gritters to have things clear by morning. :)

Morning Folks hope you all had something wintery at least on Tuesday evening. Some heavy snow Just after 10PM gave a good covering it's all starting to melt and some of it turning to ice. as for this winter is better than last winter well it wouldn't haf to try hard to do that. Last winter was an event once in 250 years if i remembor ritely.

Ziltch here, even though we were getting the showers, I guess it was just too wet.

Well, I wonder what weird and imaginative ways the snow will find to miss us next week? :-D
