Nothing but some rain here in Towcester, Northants, overnight, not disappointed as it's no less than expected.  Conditions simply weren't right for lower levels the further south you went.

You'll need a lot of patience, that precipitation is not getting any closer.

It's moving north so may not move east enough to get near enough to the Black Country and Birmingham.

13 mile west of shrewsbury here and back to light drizzle 305metres,thawing now,odd snow grains mixed in.

It was snowing here proper dry flakes but way too patchy, its a strange annoying mix here.

PPN just seems to be growing from nowhere just north of Leicester for the past hour. Consistent moderate sleety snow here.

Stiperstones village - 30 minutes of moderate wet snow falling, varying temperature 1.6C current from 0.9C.

The overnight dusting on old snow thawed. Further sugar coated with light graupel at 9.00am.

All a load of rubbish really. The met office are totally inept - ensure warnings cover a big area and everthing is forgiven. I don't think so!

Fair coming down now, seems to be pepping up on the radar as soon at it gets to the East Midlands
