Looks over for us in the West Mids. Even the ppn looks pathetic.

Snow free West Midlands yet again.

I cant understand why so many of are you are so upset. I saw the forecasts and it looked a right mix of rain sleet and snow which is what is happening albeit perhaps some downgrade today as for a time the Meto was going for more snow but when you have a low developing recently, these always cause headaches.

No one ever mentioned a prolonged, heavy band of ppn.

If it is of any comfort, its 7c here and reached 9c today in Falmouth.

This is turning out to be a damp squib so far temp 1.4c and little or no ppn and now notice very light drizzle hmmm.

Windy it would be good for drifting for a time where it snows on hills.

Nothing in Dudley.  Temp of 1.8C but nothing but wet ground after earlier light snow.  All melted.

Looks like nothing but wet snow at the very best for the rest of the night.

Covering of snow just a few miles away Biddulph way

That's surprising as I'm at about 800 ft and nothing on the ground at all.

You are joking??!! Down here in Oxfordshire the 1 bed flats aren't even that cheap! Cheapest 1 bed flat i've seen here is around £600. 3 bed semi, looking at about £1100 pcm.

Might have to think about looking for jobs up there now :D

On my thats was good just 2 or 3 inches in Cov and next to nowt in Bed'uth apparently!

'Black Bedduth' they called it, on account that it was such a big coal mining area, but now I'm starting to wonder whether it's because it'll never be white? :-(

I'm in two places tonight, Bradford / West Yorks with work (had a decent covering so far tonight but slowing down now) and I have my webcam in Northants, can't really make out if its snowing or not though against the lamp post check (Northants) - just looks wet on the ground.

Well I'm off to bed. Been another difficult evening on here but not the biggest let down as there was a lot of agreement at the start that things might not go our way.

So a grey and damp morning awaits. Joy.
