but now started snowing again and Quite moderate falls with that :D

that is i keep on having mad snow bursts one minute goes light to next to nothing and then snowing mad again...... COOL :D

Nice covering here now, MetO forecast still for heavy snow all tonight and up till midday tomorrow, when it drops to light snow until tomorrow evening.

Commute across Peak District will be fun tomorrow :D

Been snowing lightly here for an hour or so. Not going to amount to anything if it continues like this, might as well be raining! :-(

Pretty as a postcard here, everywhere is covered in a thin blanket of snow. Its coming down heavier now.

Maybe once the front pivots the colder air and due points will drop South again . Iv heard for places west of Solihull it's gonna become to mild as the core of the low is further west than anticipated . Sorry mark but your snow will become slush in aprox 1 hr

Think temp might be dropping ?

Gone from 1.3c to 1.2c, obviously only a tiny amount but it's certainly not getting warmer.

Totally disappointing so far in Malvern - Any light snow we've had has melted. It's 2.0oC. Perhaps we are just too far south.

  • Chilly with an increasing risk of frost

Once Monday's band of rain fades, the next few days will be drier. However, it will feel cool, even cold, in the breeze or under gloomy skies, with an increasing risk of frost. Read the full update here

Dubai Floods: Another Warning Sign for Desert Regions?

The flooding in the Middle East desert city of Dubai earlier in the week followed record-breaking rainfall. It doesn't rain very often here like other desert areas, but like the deadly floods in Libya last year showed, these rain events are likely becoming more extreme due to global warming. Week Ahead: Cool but largely dry until later in the week, when low pressure returns

We keep a chilly northerly flow going through much of the coming week, especially noticeable in the east. Cloud and rain spreading south Monday, but after that, most places largely dry until later in the week, when it looks to turn more showery. Read the full update here
