To be fair the met office amended warnings suggest this will be a non event for most of us. Hopefully some in the north of the region may get a surprise though. I am really not expecting anything . Hope I am wrong though.

Just got back from Solihull, was very surprised to step outside at 18:45 into reasonably heavy snow which was already sticking to the grass and pavements.

Still coming down now, albeit intermittently. However, it seems my dew point has just crept above zero, now 0.2°C

Any snow on the radar has moved North West over Stoke.

Everywhere else just rain/sleet now as the dewpoints have risen.

Had a 10 minute spell of snow here in Polesworth, North Warwickshire but now sleet and not sticking :-(

Hope it really gets going later.  Good luck everyone - hope someone in the midlands gets a snow day tomorrow.

To the untrained eye it looks as if the centre of the pivot currently is over Pembrokeshire and moving east. So lets not give up hope just yet as the best of the weather could possibly still to come.

Warm sector creeping across the Midlands, the warm air should be pushed back southwestwards in a while though, so most will turn back to snow.

It's arrived like 2 hours early, so it's literally begun before it's even begun..! No way I am writing anything off yet.
