Heavy rain here too near St Neots / Cambs, no snow at all yet.

How we're keeping our snow cover with this rain I do not know!

 

kinda inversion, uppers warm, but ground level temps still cold

We've had a good 6cm (last time I looked) still coming down. Roads locally are horrendous. 

 

BBC says heavy snow up to 5am tomorrow morning - is this likely??

Heavy rain here still temp of 1 degree be suprised if changed back now. still snow on grass and pavements

What a real shame. Currently raining washing everything away....oh well. Maybe next time.

That's a shame turned to rain here! ! Looks like gfs nmm were right in having the low further north! ! Not very well done from the supreme euro4 model!! Had this all been snow we would have inches of it by now!!

Wind has definitely changed more easterly as rain hitting bedroom window now. Getting a bit foggy here too.

The snow will move back in so long as we keep precipitation going.

 

I've drawn a map of where the snow is atm and what direct it's moving (approx)

certain it was freezing rain, heard pingy on ground and on window, temp been at 0.0C, now a few snowflakes

 

this now is very like 25th Jan 2013, south of cannock all rain, north of cannock, freezing rain/snow, Sat 26th Jan was one of the slippiest mornings ever

Some heavier stuff heading towards us now, hopefully the evaporative cooling should be enough to turn it back to snow.

 

Just our luck we lose the precipitation just as the colder uppers get here lol
