Classic Telford dry gap setup developing now, the heavy stuff over Wales not getting past Shropshire border.

Ah well, looks like being a bit of a damp squib here now, but even that sleet is more than we had all last year! So maybe something better will come along in the next couple of months. :)

The hook of the pivot is over Pembrookeshire  atm, it's this that should drag more snow in from the west.

I think there's another trough coming down for early tomorrow morning too?

It's not less cold tomorrow, uppers for the Midlands will be -5 to -7c and temperatures won't be a great deal above freezing.

Here's a pic for you all :)

It was raining for about 2 hours. It's now already settling on the road after about 15 minutes. Pretty good.

Actually becoming rather patchy over Wales it seems now. Game over here. About 8 hours early too...

Actually, tomorrow's charts indicate there may be another area of snow showers/toughs coming from the north/northwest.  This is one of those unexpected amazing things we get every so often like in 1991 :-)

Has completely stopped here now. A real shame it didn't last longer but we've been lucky here as there is a good covering of snow out there.

Looks like some bits and pieces could come through this evening...and maybe some quite heavy snow looking at the radar. After that, I can see it turning very icy indeed overnight.

Bad luck to those in the West Midlands who didn't get much snow....if only it could have stuck around for longer.

But it's not gone according to forecasts. It's all gone through so much quicker than first thought...which means that the precipitation isn't going to pivot in favour of our area.

Could still be showers....at least that very mild sector is staying well away! We've seen these events before where one of those has breezed through ruining everything!

Yes, I am in the same confused situation - all our snow so far was meant to be rain, with the snow still on its way after 6pm and mostly after 9pm.

And all the weather forecast sits STILL show us getting hours of snow still to come, and they're "updated 17:04" and suchlike, so if it's all over, surely the Beeb update would say so?

Baffled…

Really? the charts are showing a max of 5'c today and 1'c for tomorrow and the uppers are fine?

That's my lot I think, maybe the odd shower from Wales. Temperature starting to rise now and I think we have light rain.

The BBC and Met Office are notorious for being slow to update to real-time situations. It's infuriating at times.
