I been to Wetherspoons last weekend and I had Christmas dinner and Hot chocolate it was great!!   Its cloudy here all day, I hope it will be frosty and foggier next week when the High pressure centered over us.  :)

trouble is the high looks like being centered to our south, bringing milder westerlies and drizzle

Not according to the MO

Also after this weekend temps around 7c not what I would class

As mild, and that temperature will be reduced further in any

Lingering overnight fog

Its been a dull day here and some mist down in the Valley. The good news I think the models tonight is heading in the right direction for cold. One of the people predicting snow in fortnight, but it is too early for me to predict it yet, not until around mid-week next week perhaps if its still shows cold on the way. Sometimes models could downgrade by tomorrow whatever the setup. I need to be cautious on it.

The models are showing more of a westerly flow setting in from early next week and with -5c uppers never far away, snow could well be ion the cards by this time next week.

Certainly an improvement on weeks of mild mush.

Toying with the idea of a week in Iceland after Christmas any thoughts or ideas ???...

I'd love to go to Iceland but I an't see the wife going until it is moved into the Caribean or Med.

If you get the chance though, I'd jump at it.

After a damp, foggy miserable morning it's finally starting to brighten up here now.

Almost identical to last Saturday in fact.....and last Sunday, and every day since.

Is it really to much to ask for a few bright, cold, wintry days or do we have to wait until late spring again for that set up to happen.

Set of to watch football in decent warm sunshine and dressed accordingly.

More fool me, by 3pm the sun had gone and the cold damp conditions from earlier had returned.

I never seem to learn.

Well drizzling a little bit here, its been a bit weird today weatherwise, strange close sky and quiet, a bit like that peacefulness when its snowing :)

Its warmer than earlier today or at least feels like it.

Is anyone else having a dragging issue on their ipad on this christmas skin?

A clear start to the day.

After what seems like an eternity of damp, misty mornings, a pleasant change.
