Amazing how windy it is here this morning and not a sprout in site.

5.5c so hardly classed as cold but probably a day for being well wrapped up.

After a showery morning, it fined up for a couple of hours but then, just as there was talk of a hosepipe ban the showers are again rattling on the windows.

7c so not even a sniff of anything sleety which considering that today was one of the so called colder days is a poor effort.

merlot open at 2.30, like your style.

Trouble is that I'd be reaching for the second bottle by tea time.

Fine here at the moment but no doubt it won't last.

Folk seem a bit happier in the model thread tonight as the doom and gloom of yesterday and this morning seems to have lifted somewhat.

Lets hope that some consistency returns to the models and I'm sure that most on here would like that consistency is of the cold, very snowy type.

Meanwhile back to the food and drink thread, do we go out for something to eat or is it a Chinse for us as well.

Oh and the red wine is ready for opening.

Anyone near to me (Stockport) confirm or deny my suspicions that it has rained at least at some point every day this month?

This December seems to have been so changeable that even bright, frosty mornings have given way to showers/rain later in the day.

Lost count on the amount of times I've got wet in work this month after hearing "It will be largely dry today" on the morning forecast.

Has it been surprisingly wet in our neck of the woods? Or am I exaggerating?

I live north of Manchester but can confirm that every day in December has had rain.

Wettest here was 18th with just over 25mm and the months total is now approaching 150mm.

Not exceptional but wet all the same.

Yeah. It just dawned on me before - the persistence of the rain if not the quantity. Saying that, it's been pretty wet here the past week especially. Lots of flooded drains and standing water about.

I reckon you'll have had more rain than round here due to your location, but I bet not many places (if any) in the NW have had a single dry day.
