Rain all the way to the Trafford Centre, rain all the way back.

Will it even stop.......of course it will.

Just at the point where it becomes cold enough for snow.

The Met Office medium range update is very encouraging for our region, looking at current modelling for Christmas/Boxing Day, there looks to be a NW'erly followed by even colder air flooding down from the North. This is encouraging. Snow falling whilst I tuck in to my Christmas dinner? Yeah go on, I'll take that. I love the Irish Sea sometimes :)

Never stopped raining again all day.

It did not stop yesterday and for a fair portion of Tuesday.

Just a shame it wasn't snow...........oh wait, if had have been snow then it would have either.

Been too far north, south, east or west or fizzled out completely.

Such it our reputation as the centre of all things depressing in the world of weather.

Never mind, at least it's been extremely mild for the time of year.

Apologies for pre judging the comments about to be made on North West Tonight.

Actually dry and partly clear when I got up this morning.

It didn't take long for the days first shower to rattle on the conservatory roof though and no doubt it won't be the last.

Even the forecast doesn't make sense, today is supposed to be the first of a couple of days colder weather before the dreaded mild returns on Sunday but BBC are showing highs of 7 & 8c across the region over the two days. Hardly my definition of cold but I suppose relative in terms of the continuous autumn we seem to be enduring.

Jeez a north westerly takes no prisoners here, frequent heavy showers from what start as tiny specks in the Irish sea. Just a shame the temps are not cold enough for snow....yet

A bit of sleet starting to show in the heavy showers which are rattling through here at present although I can't see it turning to snow in these parts.

Temperatures up and down, dropped from 5c to 3c in a matter of a few minutes but now climbed back to 4c once the latest shower cleared though.
