A quick lool through the charts, it looks like we are in no mans land

For the next few weeks, nothing to cold, on the other hand nothing

To mild either, certainly no repeat of last years fiasco

I am fairly confident that around the second week of December

Will be around the time we see a pattern change, whether this for

Better or worse remains to be seen, however after following the

strat thread for the last few weeks I have a feeling something good is

    brewing.

Well, after being asked the usual yawn of a question about whether the heavy snow in the states is heading our way, the presenter on Granada told us that thankfully it wasn't.

Personally I'd have been more thankful if at least some of it was coming but it looks like our current nothingness is carrying on for the foreseeable at least.

I've never understood the thinking behind this theory that what they get, we get a couple of weeks later when usually the reality is at best a much watered down version and usually the complete opposite.

Anyway not been a bad day again today, cool but at least dry although it looks like rain is on the cards for tomorrow.

Plenty of time for wintry weather and I'm sure that this one will offer something in the way of widespread snow but this rut we are currently in is getting very tedious.

Yeah I'm sure that last years stormy and wet winter was a pain in the backside for anyone working outside.

Hopefully this time around will be colder and drier with snow every few days to break the monotony.

This evenings GFS Ensembles for Manchester are heading in

The wright direction for the beginning of December, even a few

    -8 850s making an entrance

Temperatures at this stage perhaps just below average

Better than last year's relentless rain and gales, at least you

Can get out and get job's done, better now than January

Like I said earlier in no mans land at the moment and we

    Are still in Autumn

Winds quite gusty from the East today in advance of the weather front crawling up to us from the south.  Felt quite raw outside, certainly not mild.  Will the HP to the East be more of an influencing factor to this year's winter weather, or will the Atlantic fire back up into life?

Brrrrrrrr, peeing down, breezy and raw.

Finally feels like winter rather than the extended autumn we seem to have been stuck with for ever.

All we need now is frost and then , dare I say it some snow and bingo.
