I'll definitely bank that.

This mornings BBC foreceast showed the heaviest of the showers over western Scotland with precious little down here but if the Meto are issuing warnings, they must see some potential.

Manchester Christmas markets for us tomorrow so maybe not much chance of seeing settling snow but the drive up home could be interesting, especially the last few miles where altitude starts to make a difference.

I like the look of Wednesday's warning as well.

From an IMBY point of view, just need a slight shift southwards and the sound of 70mph winds and frequent wintry showers certainly makes up for the boredom of the last few weeks.

Been having sensor problems on my weather station and only just got it back up and running.

However I don't need a weather station to tell me it's damn cold outside.

I just need it to tell me how cold.

Mine packed up in the summer ,won't connect with remote sensor ,..

I'm up and running again, only cheap batteries so how long they'll last I'm not sure.

Anyway it's 4.6c at the moment which looking at the point it came from this morning, is probably still on the rise but hopefully the clearing of tonight's rain will be followed by another shot at cold with more in the way of wintry showers than yesterday.

Chance of snow showers as the day wears on - and a greater chance of something settling overnight. It will be cold thanks to the nagging west/northwesterly wind, hopefully there will be breaks in the cloud to reveal some whiteness on the fells.

Yes an interesting 24-36 hrs in temperature fluctuations, feels almost barmy like now after a cold start - temps should be heading down again tomorrow.  Not expecting lying snow here but fingers crossed to see a few falling spells.  Very interesting week coming up, everything but the kitchen sink I think!

Been awake most of the night with a really bad cold and sore throat and all I could hear was the rain on the window and the wind in the trees.

Hopefully the clearance which looks to be coming through will bring the temperature down and turn the showers to snow later in the day.

Looking promising for the coming days as well.
