Peeeeeeing down here.

Mind you it's only the second days rain and first downgrade from snow so far this year so can't complain.

A few flakes mixed in here now but at 3c, probably just to high.

Need evaporative cooling.

Raining here but the system is moving southeastwards quite fast. According to the radar it should start drying up in about an hour. Hopefully it will give some snow on the Pennines before it clears.

Turned to heavy sleet here now and the temperature has fallen back slightly but I expect that this is as good as it will get.

Maybe falling more as snow on the tops although shrouded in fog so can't see.

No signs of frost here as yet.

Currently 2.6c but clear skies so I would expect a decent fall during the next few hours.

However we've been here before this winter so not holding my breath.

Don't know about anyone else but to me this winter, so far, has seemed wetter here than it did at the same point last winter. I think I've had just a couple of completely dry days since at least late November.

we have an endorheic lake near us which is still very low compared to last year when it overtopped the road !!!..
