you might of got the cloud I had earlier , there's nothing coming out of it though ......

Mokidugway. Was nice when I left Barrow at lunchtime today. Nipping in from the Yorkshire thread but I'm from Barriw originally. Your end too near the Abbey so not far to Dalton.

Superb winters day, best of the winter so far, sparkling blue skies and cold with a sharp frost early, before returning very early around 3pm, currently -4 degrees, so quite likely to be the coldest night of the season so far.

Out on the fells north of Helvellyn, lovely powdery crunchy snow - excellent clear views despite some patchy mist on the highest summits at times -which made for some stunning atmospherics with near broken spectre. Snowline around 450 metres.

We didn't get one such day all winter last year, fingers crossed plenty more to come. Tomorrow looks a cold one, possible ice day if we see freezing fog.

Not looking forward too much to the grey mild skies forecast for New Year - oh well, it will be bearable given the cold conditions since Boxing Day.

As is the case, frost remains on the ground all day, then come the night it melts because it becomes warmer. Currently 3.2C !
