Yeah that's about right. It should turn more to snow up there as the night goes. Snow reports seem to be slowly spreading eastwards

 

Sleety snow now with some big flakes but it needs to bulk up, Manchester would be too marginal but the reason we have reports of big flakes there is because the heavy PPN has reached, it just seems to be dying as it gets any further East, if this low would have tracked 50 miles further North, we would have had a belting here.

Happy to report falling snow with a couple of cm on the ground in Ashton, Wigan.

Quite surprised at how quickly and easily the snow laid on extremely wet surfaces.

Only 20m or so but I have the Chat Moss on my doorstep and it produces its own microclimate.

Moderate snow here, only small flakes but everything covered including the road.

We just need the temperature to drop another degree or so and hopefully we'll wake to a covering for the first time since November last year.
