Just had hail shower

Absolutely chucking it down.

Was 7c at 6am now heavy showers cleared temp dropping....4c breezy and snowy looking skies out west.... Driving into manchester then back through pennines later so could get interesting this afternoon....

Falling here but not as fast, now 5.2c from a maximum of 6.2 at about 8am.

Some bits of sleety stuff mixed in with the rain thermo says 8 degrees but windchill making it feel much colder with the biting wind but we are on the coast

Updated met office warning.....down to 200m.... Woohoo...im 300m so lets hope some flakes do add to the festive feeling!

Heavy graupel showers pushing through here, left a covering. Temp down to 3.4C, dewpoint 0.4C

Don't panic, it's stopped again but it has but a bit of cover on the tops down to about 1200 ft.

Temperature drop has slowed but at 2.7c it's looking good for snow if we can get the feed of showers from the Irish Sea.

First hint of wintriness in the showers. A bit of hail and sleet. The first wintry precipitation I have seen since February!

Some really sharp hail showers through this area this morning, and they have increased in frequency since earlier on. Temp has been hovering between 5c and 3c feels a lot colder in that wind

Sunshine and blue sky now but the temperature is still falling slowly, currently at 2.2c.

Get some clear skies immediately after dusk and it shouldn't take long for a frost to set it.

Then hopefully an organised band of showers and we will possibly wake up to white in the morning.
