But never mind watched bbc weather this lunchtime and she said things were going to get better. ..so good news its gonna get milder...good news for who?

Just about managed an air frost this morning -0.1C, thought it would be lower but it seems there was some cloud floating about last night. Still waiting for a harsh frost, we only need to get lower than -2.8C and it'll be lower than at any time last winter.

No windscreen scraping for me this morning.

Left home at 6.30 and it was 4c.

15 minutes and 7 miles later it had dropped to 2c but any frost which formed at sunrise didn't last long.

Probably a bit to much cloud again tonight to allow frost other than in prone areas.

At least it feels a bit more seasonal though.

Evening

If this evenings ECM verifies December will start on a cool note

With winds from a E or Ne direction, with the 850 temp around

-4

Will certainly feal seasonal, ok no deep cold, but some nice crisp

Cool weather is certainly welcome in my book.

What a difference a year makes

We had no frost last night here either. Looking forward to a cold snap - had enough of the warmish damp weather !!

Its frosty here this morning. I don't like the model thread being quiet though, I fear next month could be written off due to mild weather.  :(   :cray:

Sorry pip, how can you write of the whole of December as mild?

Overnight low of -1.9c here and topped out at 6c today, as for

December I would say with 90% confidence it wont be mild
