Yes, I am seeing it too. Huge forks that jump through the sky.

What time do people reckon it would hit?

More lightening, rain starting.

Unfortunately I think it's mist here but this cell is something else. It's electric! People under that are going to be loving this!

Really impressive lightning, with eerily very little and quiet thundering. It's quite unnerving

Well what a night last night, we had a thunder and lightning show for almost 2 hours. The first lot passed us just out to sea but still gave a good show then it was more of a direct hit between 1 and 2am. Not seen that much lightning in a long time.

We had lightning flashes for well over an hour late last night and early this morning with them stopping just before 1am a few rumbles of thunder as well but no rain

This morning is glorious

Last night was great and something a lot of us have been wanting for a long time, a nighttime display, and one that lasted for around 2 hours as well as a storm passed near the coast and then approached from the west.

This heatwave has delivered all the right ingredients this year, not often we can say it all goes to plan like that!

Warnings out from the Met-office for today and Friday for yet more thunderstorms.

I'm not convinced about today's potential but will be happy to be proved wrong. :)

Yes,that's what it sounds like from the warning.

Still warm and humid but certainly not the same feel as yesterday.

With no easterly influence here on the coast today its almost 10℃ warmer, so as the rest of the country gets cooler ours temps increase. Its a sticky 25℃ outside and dew points at 16.5℃. Compared with yesterday it feels like a storm could pop up but without certain parameters present today they may struggle.

Starting to rain here.

Incidentally, the met office site in Durham recorded 31.0ºC yesterday.
