Had a couple of heavy wet snow showers today, one of which left a thin temporary dusting.

Just starting to turn icy now.

Some snow perhaps for higher parts of the region from the PPN spreading in from the Northwest in the next couple of hours.

Very icy here at the moment from the earlier showers.

It feels colder because dew point is really low - humidity just 62% here and was 58% earlier.
Dewpoint below freezing even though it's above 5C
This is a classic feature of Arctic origin air.

Looks like a cold start to spring for the region next week with plenty of frosts and chances of snow even for low ground thanks to a potent outbreak of PM air.

Yep the wind chill could make it feel around 0c early next week I can't see any snow falling at lower levels next week as day time temps are likely to be too high, high ground though looks a decent bet for some wintry showers then the second half of the week looks more settled with temperature gradually creeping up with a more pleasant feel by day in any sunshine

Looking at the beebs forecast it looks like plenty of sunshine will be on offer for the start of spring today is a decent sunny day if only the wind wasn't as strong it would be quite pleasant notice the temps starting to creep up from Wednesday a sign of things to come

Quite showery looking sky here and has been sleety soft hail a couple of times.
Showers race through though with wind gusting around 40mph.

Is it actually snow though, find that type of chart miss leading sometimes. however met office forecast seems to be wrong again for today, no mention of that low bringing persistent afternoon rain, which it has been for past our now with grey skys here.

Today's Weather as miserable as my mood today after watching Boro's miserable display at Hillsborough yesterday :(

In fact I can confirm that the precipitation is starting to turn quite wintry...

The moors are well white with maybe a couple of inches lying.
It has been wet snow falling for most of two hours here, but stopped now more or less.

Must have been a slight dusting overnight but crisp blue skies and a chilly breeze this morning.

It's 2C outside but feels bitter in the wind.
