Looks like a beauty heading for the Hartlepool area.

Might be the odd rumble of thunder out of that.

It seems that the HP is not far enough to the NW, meaning winds coming down the n a.Sea do not turn northerly until around Teesside, hence why the showers did not come here, apart from the odd light flake.    :wallbash:

Last night could have been so good. Looking back at the radar I never even caught a proper shower however I've woke up to a few mm of proper snow. If only there were more showers, story of the winter.

Yes catching that shower now. It's such a shame there's not more because it's really nice proper snow too.

Light dusting of snow in Darlington nothing to get excited about its only stuck because the ground froze last night after the shower cleared around 21:45. It will melt in no time once the temperature rises and the strengthening February sun gets to work

One shower after another now, several inches since dawn but it's 0.4C so could expect a steady thaw when it stops.

Light sugar coating over night in Boro as well, weather forecast for today reads

"Staying cold with a chilly breeze and scattered wintry showers, these mainly affecting the east, with drier, brighter conditions in the west. Showers perhaps becoming more restricted to the Middlesbrough area later in the day. Risk of slight snow accumulations. Maximum Temperature 3C."

Middlesbrough in the firing line!!! :D
