Is this where you post if you live in Newcastle upon Tyne?

Bravo!

Just that sometimes there are "Far North of England and Scotland" threads and sometimes "Far North of England" threads, so I just wanted to clarify where I post my pictures of knee high snow drifts 2 weeks from now

Last Winter?

What  Winter?

Hope this thread sees much more activity than last winter..

I agree, there was more life in a tramps vest.

Some pretty heavy and persistent rain today, although not as windy as further south and west experienced thankfully.

It seems from Chinio's latest post in the MO thread, we may be waiting until December before any possible cold/snow weather is on the agenda.

Suits me to a degree, cheaper heating bills and IF cold/snow arrives in December it will feel more seasonal!

Quite a chilly evening here in Cumbria temps down to 3 degrees here so far, and I note Newton Rigg is down to 1 degree. Looks like Cumbria will be the coldest spot overnight thanks to light winds and clear skies - a proper November evening. Could we a coldish day tomorrow.

Early days Boro Snow, I certainly think we're still at the "don't tell your family yet" stage.

About an hour or so ago something nearly happened.

The sun was trying desperately hard to break the 4 day monotony of greyness. It was brighter than it has been since about mid last week.

But then it didn't really happen and now slate greyness has resumed.

Oh well!

A lovely day this side of the Pennines, bright skies throughout with plenty of sunshine and no wind, an excellent day for getting out and about with a lovely sunset. Its been a very decent weekend all round for November.

Another largely grey day, occasional showers and the odd longer spell of rain.

No sunshine that's for sure!

Oh dear. Oh dear. Maybe we'll see a few mms of snow at some point this winter this year, lol?

Hope this thread sees much more activity than last winter..

There was a winter last year, I thought it was just an extension of autumn.

As you'll see I've made my annual "someone said there's snow on the horizon" return, sorry for being one of those pesky seasonal posters but I'm too busy hating the world when we have summers like the one we've just had, pure horrible. Need a couple of foot of snow to set my right.

snow risk on nw 10 day forecast for 30th nov first of the season mindue it is only 12% lol and looking at the models today highly unlikely, another horrible grey cold day out there today

We've had occasional patchy fog here too.

Driving along the Coast Road last night between the A19 and Chillingham Road, there were about 3 different patches of fog drifting across the road. Quite an impressive sight actually, sorry I'm being a saddo!

Anyway, today we saw about 15 minutes of milky brightness before the greyness set back in and produced some rain which was heavy at times.

A little brighter and milder tomorrow (he says in hope) before cooler weather sets in and no doubt more grey days will ensue.

Soon be Christmas .... :yahoo:

Hi Guys,

Hope to see this thread full of excitement and reports of snow falling this Winter  :)

We have a lot more to be hopeful for than last year, with the soon to be famous or infamous OPI, and lots of positive comments over the past few weeks in both the strat and mod threads...  with the latter hoping to improve a little if we can get out of the rut we're currently a bit stuck in (and may be for a while longer).

December is going to be one of those months on this forum I think, best keep a level head hahah

It was anonying today the cloud persisted until almost exact sunset time then cleared out.
Looks like an ideal fog forming night though, with almost no wind.

Saw some brightness today.

That in itself is noteworthy.
