dont hold out much hope now for showers. Dying fast on the radar and the forecast is for them to die away this afternoon too. Not much showing up on BBC/METO forecasts either so think maybe mostly dry next few days? Shame really.

 

At least it will be VERY cold, with near ice days next week. I will love that just on its own :D

 

Always the hope that some disturbances may crop up....

Looks like we will see some very low nighttime minimum over the next few nights. Not really expecting any snowfall latest bbc weather shows us dry over the weekend with maybe the odd flurry.

DONT TRUST ANY WEBSITE / CHARTS FOR SNOW!!!

 

Sorry for Caps, but it does annoy me how many people think weather charts are useful to predict snow fall. Snow really is a nowcast event.

 

E.g. BBC website has Heavy snow all day for us tomorrow - for every hour, until 20:00 then its just light snow. That wont happen.

I am still staying positive :) At the worst it is still going to be much colder than it has been for a long while and we still have a big chunk of winter to go at. Let that cold in and who knows :good:

Just had a snow shower. Was rather heavy for first few minutes now slowed to very fine snow.

Im definately not loosing the faith. it will turn much colder and I do think at some point next week we will do well with snow. As I said, disturbances can and probably will crop up. The FAX charts already have them all over the place.

 

I was more just talking about this weekend in my earlier comment. Maybe well all be surprised. I hope so :)

Having our first proper snow shower of the day, coming down moderately just now, hopefully just a precursor to what will follow next week (I doubt we'll see much over the next few days)

rain here today, not expecting any other than rain over the next few days, things look the wrong side of marginal, although met office forecast for sunday is light snow, but it said that yesterday, only to change the forecast to rain, lol.  i have the new weather staion now so will be glued to that and lamp post watching, lol.   good luck to those wanting snow and those who get to see snow.
