Ridiculously heavy snow here and we finally have a covering.

Yeah, I have no complaints about this winter so far! Looks like we may have something a little more moderate coming over from the west and then that'll be it for a while.

are the METO way off the mark with this one, they have my area down for snow right up until tea time tomorrow, i really cannot see that happening myself, and they were spot on with the last lot last week, for my area anyway.

Evening everyone :D

 

what a dodgy drive home that was @ 10:00 tonight from work(with snow tyres),set off with an inch on all suraces including the main roads(wheres the griitters) :unknw: ,usually it takes me 5-10 minutes to get home only to arrive on my doorstep at half ten,was very icy under the snow which made it more difficult,anyway,more ppn developing west of here now(cheshire streamer)

Well we had bout half hour of nice fat snow but stopped now was nice to see lets hope we get some more. I have to get on the bus to lincoln at half six in the morning so wondering what the wolds will be like and if the bus will even get through?? Could be a day off uni if not :-)

What a massive damp squib let dwn here! Extremely disappointed. Should just get milder now as nothing exciting due.

Good covering of snow in scunny

Expected to wake up for work and have a difficult commute !

Looks like no more than a few showers overnight. Went to bed last night with the road outside covered, with just 2 faint tire tracks. Now the road is completely clear...

Forecasts have us for snow all day, but a max of 43% probability

What a let down. Barely anything here. Bare patches everywhere and a dusting over some surfaces. Hammering it down now but too late - needed this through the night (as forecasted) to make any difference.

Edit - stopped now. Like I said, what a let down.

Morning all, a covering up here but not lots, a few cm maybe. More forecast this morning so the hilly parts should get a good covering, I feel for those lower down who wanted something more!

I have a feeling this is going to be one of those frustrating evenings! Whilst there are plenty of snow showers around I think any settling snow will be localised with many of us missing out by morning.

Well my expectations were met! We don't even have a dusting, other than on cars and grass so nothing since 11 last night. Extremely disappointing though given the weather warning and the yesterdays Met Office forecast for snow from 8pm Wed to late afternoon Thurs.
