Big fat flakes looking good for tonight and the rest of the week...finally !

WOW heavy snow and massive flakes, but not really amounting to much, as it's to stop start all the time.

All the action has been out West the last couple of days. Now it is just too far East!

No intensity in what is falling here so just a sleety mess.

Last snow event for me for tomorrow morning   so won't be posting on here after tomorrow.

 

Took the last two months of so stayed up in Leeds near family etc. Will be based in central London, anyone who knows London will know living in Westminster is not ideal for snow... ever. 

 

Fortunately I'm free to travel with work so will be making sure I go to all the snowy countries, want to experience a big snow storm in North America so will try and experience that and really want to experience a snow event in Japan. Work pays for me to go where I want providing I have a reason. 

 

Will come up to Yorkshire if there's a big March 22nd 2013 type snow event. 

You can always change your location just to pop in now and again with your thoughts of upcoming snow chances

Our DP rose just before the snow arrived, up to 0.4 then it dropped to -0.2 !

Leeds is too hilly, a blessing and a curse. I have a few friends who live over 300m asl! The difference in snow depth from 200m to 300m is insane.

 

lol sorry no. I barely posted last winter. I'll be back next Christmas!

Had snow here but it only settled on existing snow which wasn't much.

Went to bed at 2am with a slight dusting and woke up to everything wet. Can see the wolds from my bedroom window looks like the settling snow line was around 150m. Some nice scenes on the road cameras around the moors and wolds.

just started here as well Swaton NG34 - nice and steady but will struggle to settle as too wet

 

edit - huge flakes, moderate to heavy and now covering quickly

Must have approaching 2" here,kids are in the local park sledging and still belting down

A good sign of whats to come is when the snow has settled on the road in less than 20 mins looking good for a fair bit over the next hour or so
