Those worrying about being in the sleet zone or BBC graphics not showing snow over their area I wouldn't worry. Noone can really predict what exactly happens in these convective style set ups so just grab a few beers, have the radar ready and nice big security light/lampost nearby and your sorted :)

It's too windy to settle properly.

It started to on the roofs etc but blew away before the next snow shower arrived.

All snow here just outside Leeds City Center. Settling on grass, roofs and paths look slushy.

Dreading the wind as i have to go out.

..

Flakes getting larger.

Roads are fully covered here, brightening up a bit and intensity droped a bit as well. From that got over 2cm's snow, maybe 3-4 hard to tell due to the wind etc but everywhere is covered and its a pure white world.

Good amount for only the entree.

Also snowing in Lofthouse, Wakefield, but the flakes are small really. Only a light covering so far.

Holy mother of god..

It's pretty much horizontal, almost true blizzard conditions and i usually call people up for using the word.

Dam. Hate my lack of height at uni. Birkenshaw usually does everybit as good as Morley where my parents are.

Massive snow up by Leeds Uni. Wife just rang from Bramley says it's really bad. 50p pieces.

Dark with snow here.  Real blizzard conditions.  Not seen it like this in the city centre for a long time.  Stating to settle on paths.

Despite the extra hour of light we have (sunny till 5 now), it's as dark as it would be by around 5.15.

Ha me too but if you want to see the real power of snow its at its worst when combined with wind especially in the countryside.

Absolutely bonkers! Huge, huge flakes and severely reduced visibility.

In Armley myself, it's nearly horizontal.
