Just looked out got a slight dusting on cars and roads nothing major but not going to complain.

Yep when at Uni in Newcastle. Will have been the famous Feb 1991 cold spell.

Remember looking out in Heaton at the snow and then an almighty flash of lightning!!

Had a dusting here but it has melted. Only the cars are covered now

Certainly no point ruling out snow later in the night, have to remember that it is only just 10pm, so some parts of the region could certainly see more later on.

Just come back from the Northeast heavy snow showers N Yorks white out conditions on A19 in places

Moderate snow shower here in bingley,double peak to the shower,slight covering.Hoping some streamers set up later,could be one or two suprises.Something similar up past windermere.

It has been snowing here from about 23.10 until about 23.30 with massive flakes, about 2 or 3 inches wide covering everything they land on. There is abut 2cm laying on all surfaces outside. I have now had 2 more snowfall events this winter than I had last winter, when there was not one at all!!

crap all in Sheffield. Been clear as a bell all night so far. Very cold though. Shame. Loads of showers to the north and south of the city all night. Leeds looks to have had showers most of the evening

it's not been that great in west yorkshire either to be honest, well not where I am anyway

yes the models do look good dont they!  I just want no downgrade from ECM and UKMO in morning then ill be happy
