Manky horrible November day. Wet and chilly feeling even if it is actually mild acording to the thermometer.

I see us Central Southerners have been chucked back to the "Other Side" again. Mods, this is awful! Please put us either SW OR SE and stop moving us about!  Anyway, rant over.

Hello, again, chaps. Missed you guys over the summer. Had some wicked thunderstorms!

Been a bit damp and miserable lately. Looking forward to a cold snap after the weekend :cold:

Remarkably mild this morning at 13C with only light winds and the rain area further East than feared keeping a lot of dry if rather cloudy weather across the area for much of the day. Full data here:-

Rain has stopped and we have 12.3c, feeling rather mild this morning! Looking at radar there was supposed to band of heavy rain moving up from the Channel into Southern England through the day, looking at radar can only see some heavy showers which don't look anywhere as organised, anyone explain?

Stupidly mild outside, after a high of 13.3C earlier the temperature is on the slide a bit more now back down to 12.4C but still unseasonably warm. Fortunately just a blip and I'm looking forward to temperatures down to the seasonal average next week.

If your lucky we might let you stay  :D

Or maybe its Scotland's turn to babysit your region next

This mild rubbish continues as we head ever closer to winter proper   :bad:

Welcome back, after some many months apart and only 30miles distance seems strange we have an internet Berlin wall for the summer period.

Glad we can again talk about what's happening in "the area".

Cold snap you say, a two day sneeze of some cooler air is more like it.

I agree, yes welcome back to the South Coast!

Through the summer I spent a lot of time 'watching our neighbours' in the SE as their weather reports were more relevant than those of Wales and Midlands but didn't like to post as it might have been seen as 'off topic' coming from a 'different region'.

I find thunderstorms along the South Coast particularly interesting as they stream over the Channel, and at this time of the year am always looking for that elusive Channel low in the hope it does the business.

Rather cold out there tonight - already only 2.7 degrees Celsius here.

At least it makes a change from the milder, damp air!
