So while the temp continues to rise very slowly the dew point remains stable at 3°c we need to see that fall if there are any chances of any wintry weather, it was very unlikely here the chances still look better further north.

A low of -0.2°C this morning.

Cold rain and 4.5°C now. It's very still at the moment, no wind at all.

There maybe some wintry showers for the region tomorrow. :)

Went out on a bike ride earlier to burn off the calories I consumed yesterday, was chilly and overcast to begin with, but the temp dropped once the rain arrived.

Cold rain here, as opposed to last Winter's cool rain.

Snowflakes at a premium, just like last Winter.

No signs of even an 'average' Winter for these parts. In an 'average' Winter would have seen snow by now, albeit falling rather than lying for days. Poor.

Agreed lets just enjoy what ever the weather throws at us, the so called colder winter and too much hope put into longer range forecasts just don't seem to cut it anymore best to stick to watching the models from around 144hours.

A rain/sleet mix here in lyneham.......T850's and dewpoints will start to fall here in the next few hours, so still hopeful of seeing some falling snow here before the system clears ESE

Been raining since before dawn, quite heavy at times. Wind picking up to.

Sorry but can't get exited, absolutely zero chance of anything even remotely wintry here, same old same old.

Least the days are getting longer :)

Utter rubbish here on edge of exmoor today. Some sleet to start with at 400m but that's it! "Winter" continues.

Only the North of our region is in the firing line, and even then, it's tonight that any snow is meant to fall from the wrap around of the LOW that's giving us rain at the moment. So I think it's nearer midnight that this is meant to happen.

I'm hoping we may get lucky, but not holding my breath.. But if we do, it will be fantastic.

Just looking forward to some nice frosty/foggy/ice days to come :) anything else is a bonus.

Hi everyone :)

I haven't caught up with the last few pages of posts but will do that now.

Hope you all had a fabulous Christmas and that it is made all the better by a good dusting of the white stuff in the next few days!

Hello everyone

I hope all of you had a fine Christmas day.

So while some or most of England get to had fun with snow and sleet but for some of the south esp the south west will petty much miss out.

And it me according to the BBC weather. It seems that the coldest day for me is 4c then to -2c overnight than slowly turning warmer (not milder) as the days slowly go by.
