I have just caught the weather On the bbc with John Hammond And he couldn't stress enough the uncertainty of what happens with the the low pressure several options on the table so nothing set in stone!!

Temperature has almost flat lined for the last 24 hrs. We have 10.6C this morning vs 11.3C yesterday. Drizzle yesterday, things are wet again this morning. Oh and of course the breeze. Feels more like groundhog day than christmas.

Has that low REALLY shifted to the SE & NOT the NW?

A brief easterly in the making, I wonder?

You have to laugh the MO forum are saying IF has predicted widespread snow due to the current Met office output. I suspect he has as ever been misquoted. Also looking at the BBC on-line 10 day forecasts there are no predictions of the white stuff. Think the hunt for snow is starting to delude some folk. For us down here more the same damp misty and dank today. Hoping that we get a nice good bright and crispy high over us in the next 10 days so I can walk off the food and walk off the over exposure to to much family. Thank god I have a dog!

The issue appears to be the tracking of the low down the country on Saturday. Get it right and we might see some snow in the south, although I'd imagine the further north and east of our region the more chance you have. That's my take on it anyway.

Difference between us and most other regions is we know a no hoper when we see one :nonono:  It really is straw clutching at the moment.

Indeed, even with a bit of altitude!

However I would happily take on this chart for next week. Cold and sunny

turning into a stunning sunny day after a cloudy start, not to cold either, looking forward to the afternoon when I have finished work.

Have a great time everyone, lets hope we get some snow in the new year.

The view out of the office window in Bristol, all of the clouds have moved East

Well a very good morning to you all

A chilly 6.8c at the moment and it's a bit windy outside

Hopefully this is the start of the road to coldness as long as it doesn't screw up.

Have a fantastic Christmas eve and more importantly...

Have a merry Christmas and a happy new year.

Just walked back from the crib service, little Jesus is neatly tucked up in bed so we can relax with a glass or two. Lovely clear eveing so Santa should get a clear run in and easy landing

Just time to wish everyone one here a very Merry Christmas and a huge Channel Low and Severn Streamer in the New Year!

Couple of light showers passed through in last 15 mins near Seaton, first one had a hint of sleet. All quiet now. Merry Christmas.
