Hi,

Here are a couple of photos I took of the beautiful sunrise this week.

Nice pics offerman!

Currently 9°C and bright spells. 1mm from one shower.

I made a post about the incoming weather: https://forum.netweather.tv/topic/81943-possible-stormwind-event-9th-december-onwards/?p=3085882

Yes Offerman those are great photos, we have had so many good sunrises/sunsets recently.

Amusingly I was at home yesterday where there seemed to be more frequent showers than other parts of the region, now today I am in the Salisbury area which has been in line of the streamer of showers throughout the day!

Well I'm pretty tempted to venture out in the small hours, perfect wind direction for overlapping at Shore road Sandbanks!

Can't post my graphic for some reason? Maybe because it's a Netweather extra chart? Straight from the South west anyway, gust to 60mph possibly 70.

heavy showers here, wind starting to pick up ahead of the main rain band coming in later....It looks very unlikely that our region will see any wintryness overnight tonight as parameters are not favourable at all.....Maybe just a sniff over the highest ground (250m asl+)

Down at Swanage, just the other side of Durlston. Wind gusting a touch over 50mph. Phone signal is pantz! I keep picking up France, so it has taken ages to post this. Rain isn't special yet, but painful on the face.

Checking around from overnight we had
Portland 58mph
IOW 50mph
Bournemouth 39mph

Just here 30.5mph
All in all a classic December storm. Radar shows really well the intense squall line of a few mins ago.

A chuckle this morning as my replacement (temporary by the look of it) weather station recorded 117mm of rainfall last night, oh yes really, I think not  :fool:

I must have been tired as squall line wind/rain would usually wake me up, so viewing the radar to see it went through between 04.30-05.00 is a surprise!

Still blustery and showery at present.

Yep, slept through any window rattling last night. Now a lot calmer and a bit chillier than when I went to bed last night. It really is a case of squeezing out anything wintry at the moment so hopefully a good frost tonight and chilly, sunny day tomorrow. Not looking forward to next week one bit.

Even with bedroom windows open, we were not disturbed by rain or wind strength.  Rain total to 09.00 was 13.7mm

8.6°C and overcast.

The winds were insane between 2 and 3am, I was getting regular gusts above 60mph down at Swanage.

After getting home, I checked my station and noticed a 17mb drop in under 24 hrs, that most definitely is rapid cyclogenesis.

Top gust recorded on my Davis was 42mph - doesn't sound impressive but it's only 4.5m high, and there's a lot of houses & trees to deflect wind. However, top gust throughout last Winter was only 45mph - so not bad!

IoW 68mph

Portland 66mph

Bournemouth 53mph

Beautiful day - clear skies, no wind and sunny with plenty of frost still hanging on. Only 1C in the shade after a low of -2.0C.
