Utterly miserable all day in Benfleet in Essex today, cold and dark with heavy misty drizzle all day. Temp between 3C and 4C

Apparently it's cold out there, Apparently!

0.8°C (33.4°F), Apparent temp -0.7°C

The cloud cleared earlier around 6:30 and the temperatures started to fall.

Gorgeous morning with the sun shining strongly and the view out over the channel this morning looking inviting (but cold).

It was cold and frosty when I left this morning although rather cloudy.

Met office app still saying snow for Monday currently and the bbc regional makes an interesting read -

Rain spreads southeastwards early on Sunday. Colder, windier, showery conditions quickly follow. Showers will be wintry, perhaps even to lower levels. These ease on Monday, then wet and windy Tuesday.

Yeah you have a height advantage there that we certainly don't here, so right now I'm still erring on the side of rain, as the colder air appears to drag in after the precip has pushed through.

Yep, as suggested some three days, Monday into Tuesday is another watch period.

Only transient snow signals at best, but as the cold continues to build around us (see my other post above), chances of lower level stuff will only increase.  :friends:

A little bit of brightness this afternoon, as the clouds broke- pushing the temp up to 8°C

Sunshine amounts have been quite poor this week, similar to last week. A bit disappointed if I'm honest.

I have been indoors working all day with no view to the outside, so have missed being able to track the various weather types, except for knowing it was frosty first things, was sunny when I came out at 15.00 and appears wet enough to have rained at some stage plus there's half a mm in my gauge.

Rapid frost this evening I reckon.

Beginning to see showerclouds to the west and northwest with a very snowy look to them, as in fluffy with no real structure.

Just starting to show over south wales on radar as snow/rain mix so could be lucky if one survives with any potency although often wales sucks the life out of them.  1.9c

0.4C outside at the moment. Just drove to Cheddar and back to fetch the sis from a party and on crossing the Mendips the car was registering -2C, and has known to be a tad high on readings. Gonna be a cold one and a nice frosty start tomorrow.
