Was a hard frost last night for home because although it only dropped to -2.2c there was a breeze all night so it was fairly penetrating.

Pleasant start to winter I just hope this isn't it this year.

net weather forecast says snow Thursday evening if that is to be believed..

I'm just having a sneaky thought about later this evening. With the current clear sky the temperature is already falling (5.4c after 6.8c half an hour ago) before sunset and there appears to be a front moving West which will arrive after several more hours of falling temps. Who knows!?

Timing of that front looks to be early evening here, maybe clearing for a longer colder night thereafter?

No frost this morning, we had some light rain last night around 9.30pm which initially had a bit of substance about it as the air temp wasn't far off freezing although that seemed to rise once the rain arrived.

The sky looks really snowy here on the levels. Has anything been forecast?

It looks similar here but it has been raining. It really is horrible, I can't recall it being this dark at 11:40am.

Currently 4.8°C No frosts here this week.

Sunday night Monday morning shaping up for the first tangible snow fall up on the moors. Looking like anything above 200 metres could get some wintery ppn, above 300 metres some laying snow. All could change and probably will but you never know!

Its on the Mendip platuex at around 200m so is the best place for a decent local forecast.

Well I did suggest the 5th December could be a snow-watch date amongst a couple of others of note, some two days ago. I remain optimistic that those with plenty of elevation on their side might see something.

A further look at the next few days, came courtesy of this post from yesterday afternoon. Not over much to get excited about, but something for most weather fans in the next seven to ten days I'd imagine.
