First day of winter has arrived and my net-weather forecast is showing a 20% risk of snow for Friday  :clapping:  :shok:

Wow that's not bad, mine shows 95% humidity, 100% cloud, increasing to 98% humidity and 100% cloud on Saturday.

NICE, ....

Definitely the coldest feeling day since March. The max today was 7.5c early on since when it has dropped back to the current 6.4c which with a NE breeze is making it feel wintry. Some spits of invisible drizzle in the air throughout the day.

Yes, good point! Mullender, why the change to Nights King? Next, you'll be telling us that your favourite weather is Bartlett highs and mild mush!

Checking back on November, I had a reading of 207mm of rain, and I know my colleague in the micro climate to the west would have measured more. Anybody else up and around the 200mm mark?

This morning even the weather station icon is "Dull" and just says "Overcast" sums it up really.Temp 6.9C

Yes it's drying off well after several dry days and the NE wind is helping greatly by removing the dampness that was in the air over the weekend despite how sunny/pleasant it was at times.

Not much rain in the offing, only another weakfish cold front at the end of the week and a far far cry from this time last year!

'Fraid not, only 175.9mm over here. Though it sure felt like more.

A high of 7.5C today, chilly with a bitter wind. Off to Cardiff tonight so better make sure I've got some de-icer in the car.

Definitely drying out well here too, enough to hang out and get dry three loads of washing.  If it wasn't for all the worm casts, I'd be tempted to mow the grass, but it would look worse than it does now if I did!

November rain in the NW bit of Dorset...142.4mm, most in a day, 23.4 on the 6th.

Projected temps have just nudged up a degree for the end of the week here. Wonder if the cold spell is being modified slightly.

Didn't expect to see that even my hometown at only about 50m high has light snow symbols on Friday now..

http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/public/weather/forecast/gcj8trhhr#?tab=fiveDay&fcTime=1417737600 (watch that change as soon as I post this)

Have my doubts though

Low of -1.4C last night, also surprisingly low as it was still 3C going to bed last night with a breeze still evident. Lovely day today though - clear azure blue skies, no wind and feeling crisp. As much as I'm hunting for the first snowfall, this is the next best thing at this time of year.
