Not sure when the undercutting cold will be coming in

The low should start edging South-Eastwards rather than Eastwards now. The initial band will probably clear but when it wraps around over the low and pushes back through, that's when we have our risk of seeing snow

All the action seems North of Peterborough at present by the looks of the Radar

It always skirts around Peterborough

Remember, there's a mild sector wrapped in this low roughly south of Brum.

What should happen is the rain band will stall going East, and as the low sinks south, so will the PPN and the snow chances even down here will increase as the night goes on.

It's not even 6pm yet.

BBC was saying temps in the SW are hitting a barmy 10c and the temps are rising further East as the rainband moves East

Temp here went down when the rain started, which I thought was strange, may be related to evaporative cooling. Curently 5.2

Wouldn't surprise me if it went up though, would normally with this wind direction.

okay rain turned to sleet then to snow about an hour ago and I has already started to settle on cars and roofs.  slowing down now though and the temp is dropping.  hope its not stopping after all of that.

I'm assuming you're not in Central London?

I think we're looking at a pivot later on ushering in further snow around 11pm onwards

It's slightly more north then was  shown this morning, most of this region will just see cold rain/bit of sleet

It's likely to be cold enough over the night but will there be any precip around?

System is likely to start shifting south nouth lets hope we can get some precip still around when the cold air hits.
