Hmmm, just looking at the latest fax chart for tomorrow midday and the NMM chart for 4 o'clock tomorrow afternoon, I have this sinking feeling that this murk will clear tomorrow imby, just as it gets dark...

According to my CCTV cameras there appears to be sleet falling. 1.6c and hasn't been above 2.0c all day. Miserable, grey and drizzly all day.

Very interesting... if your dew point drops further you may get some white stuff

OK, there is definitely 'icy' rain on my window, it looks like it has ice in it. Trying to take picture.

ATTENTION:

Cat is sitting by the fire. Cat is usually scared of the fire. Cat must be cold.

Or cat now brave :)

Drizzle and 3C. Horrible day. Add a terrible journey caused by an accident on the A12 and you have a proper crud day.

Just look at my temps recorded from last Dec, on the 6th I had 4.9 max temp today 4.2 so on the right track. However the rest of dec 2013 as we know was averaging around 10c. Then apart from a couple of 5c the rest of winter was around 9c-12c.

Up to 2.6 now so the next met update for dover will probably be 3c. Dry for now but a slight mist.

No need to go out any more today, so I can have the hot shower and then lounge in my lounge :)

hi all

http://www.raintoday.co.uk/

PPVA89.gif?31415

rain and drizzle with cloud should stop a frost tonight

14120506_0412.gif

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

tomorrow

PPVE89.gif?31415

a breezier north west flow

note at 12 the cold front over us

this will give some light drizzly stuff then clear soon after

snag is that trough will drop down too which again will likely cause drizzly muck as well

heres the cloudcover charts

9am

14120509_0412.gif

12 pm

14120512_0412.gif

3pm

14120515_0412.gif

6pm

14120518_0412.gif

so some places will see some sun but the further south east you are may struggle

temps

14120518_0412.gif

around 5-6 degrees but these are max temps so some places will not get this high

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

tomorrow night

PPVG89.gif?31415

a weaker north-north west flow

dry and cold :cold: :cold: :cold:

a shade busy tonight but will update saturday later hopefully

hope your well

ANy chance of some red on that chart? ( just do not knock off any Nx members doing it, police might need a word if you did)

Just read the latest news from the weather channel, and it says that America looks like to have way above average temps for next 2 weeks, also poss till Christmas too... After just having a record cold November.

So does anyone know what impact will have on our weather in next 3 weeks. I give up reading the model forum as know one really knows,

hi slater

ECM1-120.GIF?04-0

when you see a chart like the above its safer to work on shorter timeframes for now

i know 120 is short but the models struggle with how strong the low will be and also

how far north the high pressure to our south will end up

i would not like to guess afterwards at present

TBH the drizzle today did feel more wintry so I wouldn't of been surprised if we had had a touch of sleety stuff today.

Was thinking the same but couldn't really tell one way or the other, although as I couldn't see the tops of the downs over here, it may well have been at the top of them.

Cloud starting to clear from here now. Hopefully there will be some sunshine before the cold front pushes through later.
