So, so wet and dark.  A day for pj's, board games and a roast me thinks.  Looking forward to colder conditions and perhaps some dry weather?!?

Mark and Durky. I made the trip to Tesco to get white fish in (thanks for the recommendation, she's had a few nibbles, including the Mickey Finn) and pet food in general, and cat litter, for the first time ever. 2 dogs and 3 cats requires a ridiculous amount of supply. Though the 17-year old runs close.

Anya was walking about in the house today and even managed to jump up onto the sofa. It looked like it hurt a bit though so we put her on a cushion which seemed to please her. Back in the crate at the moment as the Mickey Finned painkiller is quite strong, and she was beginning to have a go at the stitches. Cat Tramadol, apparently.

Sorry for the OT. Cooler now at 7C ( i was surprised to see how much colder it had got) with drizzly stuff.

Rain finally stopped here at 15:00, the garden is a squelch fest.

One fears for anybody trying to cross it.

Still raining here although not for much longer by the looks of the radar. Good job I got home when I did. River has now burst its banks and i'm stuck in the village. Wonder if it will have gone down in time for the drive to work!?........

Depends how far down the valley you are. Upper reaches might have drained by the morning, but the lower ones might still be a bit on the drowned side of things.

Well the cat finally decided he could hold it no longer and ran to the end of the garden, did a quick wee ran and ran back in making irritated noises all the way.

I'm only 5 miles from the source - peak tends to be around 6 hours after rainfall here, slowly falling over the following 12-24 hours.

There are a few areas along my route to work that flooded last week, so I think I could have a few issues tomorrow morning.

That said this coming week doesn't look too bad. Tomorrow in fact looks to be a fine sunny day.

Looks like a widespread ground frost tonight

And possibly tomorrow night too as well. So hopefully a more seasonal flavour to the weather.

You still might want to consider a canoe rather than the car, then.
