Dull and cloudy start here this morning.

Yep saw it here yesterday for a bit. Some light rain falling here now, looks like it should stop soon for a bit.

Looked out at the murk at dawn, knowing that the doggies, irrespective of the weather, would want to look after my fitness by allowing me to take them out for a walk. The meh weather almost made me go back to bed for the extra 45 minutes, but their little faces - and, frankly, the outright begging - persuaded me. A rather sorry-looking sun came out mid morning, with some light rain later. 8C. It does feel a bit November though, at least.

On a sad note, one of our three cats suddenly turned up through the catflap with what was obviously a broken leg and much (dried) bloodiness. We are quite rural and the close we live in is quiet, with just woods out the back, so it probably happened down there. We unfortunately suspect that she was caught in a trap as we have a pheasant breeder near us and there are many foxes. But she got out, and made it back home with 2 massive breaks in one of her back legs which had completely splintered. So when the vet asked us whether she'd be OK as a 3-legged cat, we just said that she made it back here, so please go ahead. It was a good sign that the vet thought Anya was 5 or 6 years old, as she's 11. Op is done, she's currently purring at the vets' assistants.

Evening

Dull and damp was the same theme echoed here, just back from the next village and needed the coat for that wander,  The drive home was annoying due to the light but constant rain, meant it was enough to need the wipers on, but not enough to stop that noisy juddering they do when it is not quite wet enough.

Hope Anya does well Stun.

A three legged cat lived next door to my sister and it was the most cheeky and feisty cat I have ever seen, real naughty madam too and fast to boot!

There is a stratospheric warming event occurring at the moment and this will play havoc with the models, hopefully it will be a big enough event to break the endless, mild, crud pattern we are stuck in and finally deliver us some winter weather! Been raining today but it is not cold! 9c!

^ Sorry to hear about your Cat, hope she recovers from the ordeal fast. Dark, gloomy and thoroughly cool - not by a long shot has it been a mild week, wrapped up like a present. Chilly outside!

Morning

Nearly had a short burst of sunshine here, but the bright quickly turned back to dull again, not been raining for a few hours now though.

I do not care what the weather has planned as long as it is not destructive.  only five days till my eleven day work break :yahoo:

Books to read (check)

Art stuff ready (check)

All I need now is some shopping and I can stay curled up for the duration (simple creature comforts for me and I am happy).
