Snow ???? Better get rosebud out then .........

I know it is still 3 months away, but I am going for the first snowfall on the 31st of October for years, even down south. +4c in London by day -3.5c at night, with a freeze of any remaining snow. This will be a taste of things to come as the first proper winter of the new mini ice age kicks in. YOU HAVE BEEN WARN.....*said in spooky voice*. Moki, you will have to get your Rosebud out and polished early, this year. :cold: :cold: :cold: :cold:

I'm hoping for torrential rain and gales so all the trick or treaters can stay home! Ba Halloween humbug!

I hate Halloween! It is a nasty American corruption of an ancient pagan festival...look it up. In Ireland we celebrated it as an alternative to Bonfire night for obvious reasons and we went collecting

Hmm, if my kids came to your door (aged 11,10 & 3) and you gave them 5 year old sweets, which no doubt would make them ill, then you'd be quickly paying a visit to the local A&E courtesy of my

Either that or it will be drizzling. :D I think that phrase should be used by Carol Kirkwood on breakfast TV this Halloween.  What has happened to Laura Tobin? She doesn't bat for the other side does she? Will Xanadu give it back Moki, or did she borrow your lawn mower too.?

North south split is my forecast, rainy and cool north with gales in places, scattered showers with average temperatures further south before fronts push further south and east after midnight. Higher than average sale of pumpkins inevitable too.

Forgot to add up to six inches of snow for some the following day as northerly gales set in lol. A transitional day in the making will be 31st October.

  • 1 month later...

Hopefully a massive Atlantic windstorm with high winds and driving rain and hail to keep those greedy little buggers away on the dumbest night of the year! :D

As long as my little girl enjoys her self it's fine by me, but regarding them "greedy little buggers"  it's the big ones you have to worry about (13-15 years old) NOT GOOD!!!!

I never used to like it, but since I've had kids I enjoy it because they love it. Carving out the Jack O Lanterns, getting dressed up (the kids that is, not me), it's a lot of fun. Round here the convention is that you don't knock on a door unless there is a lit Jack O Lantern outside it, so no-one gets bothered who doesn't want to be and the children are all supervised by parents.

The vampires and zombie plagues worry me, plus the werewolves, but nothing is more frightening than Teenagers on halloween night. I'm allowed to shoot vampires, werewolves and zombies (I have a certificate and everything)...........but I'm not allowed to shoot teenagers! :nonono:

Not bothered by Halloween whatsoever. Massively overhyped commercialised event anyway. Thankfully we live in an area where there seem to be few trick or treaters. The stormiest the weather around then the better to keep them in! :)

Don't get any round here thank god being out in the sticks! I get worried when there's a knock at the door at the best of times.

Dare you look at the Halloween thread....They will be knocking at your door come Halloween. Make sure you lock your windows and doors.....
